Roedd Tŷ'n yr Ardd, man geni'r bardd Trebor Mai (1830-77) yn adfail pan ddarganfu Charlie Corke ef yn 1955. Penderfynodd y peiriannydd sifil adnewyddu'r bwthyn oedd wedi'i leoli fil o droedfeddi uwchben dyffryn Conwy. Wedi chwe mlynedd o ymdrech, daeth y bwthyn bychan yn gartref cyfforddus i'w deulu, ac yno y buont yn byw hyd at 1963.

Tŷ'n yr Ardd, birthplace of celebrated Welsh poet Trebor Mai (1830-77) was empty and abandoned when civil engineer Charlie Corke discovered it in 1955. A thousand feet above the Conwy valley, it was accessible only on foot with a nearby stream its only asset, but after six years of struggle the cottage became a comfortable home for his family, and they lived there until 1963.
